Job Summary
Manage special education programs by establishing autonomy, monitoring compliance, and tracking state-mandated data to drive continuous improvement in student achievement. Select highly-qualified staff, oversee enrollment procedures, and implement the program budget while preparing regular progress reports and revenue projections. Facilitate professional development through coaching and mentoring, administer state testing, and collaborate on data-driven interventions to address emerging student needs. Advocate for inclusive educational opportunities and resolve pupil management issues using positive behavioral support techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Holds required state department of education credentials
- Job-specific program skills verified by training and/or work experience
- Ability to develop and implement program improvements based on evaluated data and research-based best practices
- Administrative licensure
- Experience with special education
- Acts in accordance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
- Documents/maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment
- Effective leadership skills
