Special Education Student Support Specialist (SSN) - AES

Supports instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment. Adapts instruction to meet the learner needs of all students with a focus on ELL students, increasing the probability of advancing achievement. Maintains positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members. Supports content teachers, uses SIOP strategies with ELA teachers, delivers the Eagle County School District RE50J curriculum from lesson plans, assesses student work when appropriate, promotes and maintains behavior expectations conducive to learning, ensures confidentiality of student information, and uses the Substitute Absence Management/SAM system to manage work schedules as a guest teacher. Other duties as assigned.
