Job Summary
Provide group and individual counseling to special education students per IEPs and monitor IEP goals; offer counseling to general education students; develop and monitor behavior intervention plans; conduct psychosocial assessments and functional behavior assessments; perform risk assessments; establish relationships with students and parents; identify and refer community resources; provide staff consultation on behavioral-emotional-environmental issues; participate in school planning and IEP meetings; provide crisis intervention; maintain state-required clinical records and submit documents for reports.
Required Qualifications
- MSW degree
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
- School Social Work Full Approval and/or Provisional/Professional School Social Worker Certificate issued in the Michigan Online Educator Certification System (MOECS)
