Job Summary
Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with intellectual, behavioral, and physical disabilities while implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tracking progress through formal and informal assessments. Support coordination of related services, facilitate Admission, Review and Dismissal meetings, and prepare students for grade transitions and post-graduation. Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance, communicate student progress to families weekly, and maintain a consistent behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives. Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week, with additional compensation available for after-school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Valid Texas state certification in Special Education
- appropriate grade and subject band core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet
- Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week

- Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities
