Job Summary
Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and implement state learning standards for students with intellectual, behavioral, and physical disabilities. Adapt lessons to meet individual needs, assess student performance, and track progress through weekly gradebook updates and formal assessments. Support coordination of related services, host tutoring sessions, and facilitate transitions between grades and after graduation. Communicate student progress weekly with parents, teachers, and administrators while maintaining a clear behavior management system. Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance and participate in grade-level meetings and before/after-school duties. Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Valid Texas state certification in Special Education
- appropriate grade and subject band core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet
- Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
