Job Summary
Special Education RISE Teacher responsible for delivering instruction to students with a wide range of disabilities, developing and implementing IEPs, adapting lessons to individual needs, coordinating related services, assessing student progress, engaging families, and maintaining data-driven progress monitoring. Role requires strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction, behavior management, collaboration with families and staff, and commitment to representing IDEA’s mission to prepare students for college and beyond. Key duties include data collection and analysis, weekly lesson planning, communication of student progress, after-school tutoring, and contributing to a positive school culture. Minimum 40+ hours at school per week with opportunities for stipends and relocation consideration where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
- Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required)
- appropriate grade and subject core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required)
