Job Summary
Special Education RISE Co-Teacher at IDEA Public Schools supports students with significant cognitive and/or developmental disabilities within K-12 settings, assisting in implementation of individual education plans, and helping develop daily living—vocational and academic skills through a functional curriculum. The role works closely with classroom teachers and other professionals (speech, social work, occupational and physical therapy) to enable student participation and progress, including tasks like record-keeping, managing student behavior, and, at some campuses, assisting with transportation. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and 48 college hours are required; willingness to pursue Special Education certification is encouraged.
