Job Summary
Special Education Resource Teacher (Travel) for a 180-day contract in Springfield, IL. Work under the building principal to develop and implement IEPs, provide instruction per IEPs, collaborate with staff to achieve IEP goals, and offer consultation, training, and parent guidance. Includes professional development for staff and coordination with teachers and parents to support student learning and behavior. Requires a valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 K–8 endorsement and strong skills in intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and behavior management.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 K – 8 endorsement
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in working with teachers, students,parents and staff
- Clear knowledge of adopted elementary curriculum and implementation
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of intervention strategies and progress monitoring experience
- Strong Behavior Management
- Ability to informally assess learning and behavioral needs of students
