Job Summary
Special Education Resource Teacher at Parker Junior High School in Flossmoor 161 district. You will implement the instructional and behavioral components of the individualized education program (IEP) for students, establish rapport with students, motivate them to develop skills and knowledge, and build strong relationships with parents and staff. You will collaborate with a team that includes other special education teachers, administrators, a social worker, a speech-language pathologist, and a district psychologist to provide meaningful learning experiences for students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Education
- Must have taught Special Education Resource in the last ten (10) years or have taken coursework, seminars or workshops relevant to Special Education Resource in the last two (2) years
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL), LBS1 endorsement
