Job Summary
Special Education Resource Room Teacher responsible for providing specialized group and individualized instruction to students with IEPs through co-teaching and resource programs, managing behaviors, developing instructional materials, coordinating IEPs/REEDs/METs/BIPs/transition plans, administering assessments (WRAT, Woodcock-Johnson III), and maintaining records while collaborating with general education staff, administrators, and parents. Must implement current special education pedagogy, adhere to IDEA requirements, and utilize tools like Google Classroom and MiStar; strong communication, organizational, and behavioral management skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Endorsement in Special Education SA/SE/SM/SV
- Teacher Consultant Approval (preferred)
- SST (Student Study Team) Experience
