Job Summary
Provide direct personal care and support services to students with disabilities to facilitate implementation of IEPs and access to instructional settings and school activities. Assist with feeding, toileting, hygiene, mobility, communication, and behavioral support as directed by instructional staff. When not needed for direct care, assist with other special education-related duties and maintain confidentiality of student information while collecting and maintaining data; complete Medicaid/eSHARS documentation and participate in trainings and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and accept guidance from supervisors and instructional staff
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Ability to use technology and complete required documentation, including eSHARS billing
