Job Summary
Special Education Paraprofessionals support students in the school environment physically, academically, behaviorally and socially, including assisting students with auxiliary and augmentative communication; requires ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds; reporting to Building Principal; positions available full-time (7.0 hours/day, 35 hours/week) and may include part-time roles; compensation around $14.95/hour under the negotiated Master Agreement; preferred qualifications include completion of First Aid, CPR, Behavior Management and Physical Intervention Skills; applicants must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and meet background check/fingerprinting requirements; for Title I-funded buildings, equivalents or higher education standards apply.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Background check and fingerprinting
- For Title I funded buildings: at least 2 years of college (60 semester hours) OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR pass state/local assessments (Workkeys MTTC ETS Para Assessment)
