Job Summary
Provide instructional support under the direction of a teacher for special education students. Assist with instructional materials, classroom displays, and scoring of objective tests; help maintain neat and orderly classrooms; assist with inventory and administrative records; orient substitute teachers; supervise students across the school day including lunchroom, bus, and playground; communicate effectively with staff; support involvement in staff development and faculty events; requires ability to work with children, strong organization, and effective teamwork in a school setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Para Professional Certification or Associate's degree
- Texas education aide certificate
- Two years of study at an institution of higher learning or equivalent as required by ESSA
