Special Education Paraprofessional

Special Education Paraprofessional position at the Sheridan School District No. 2, located at the Early Childhood Center in Englewood, CO. Responsibilities include assisting administrators, teachers, and special education staff in providing supports to students with disabilities, implementing behavior and nursing care plans, supporting academics and social skills in various settings, monitoring progress toward IEP goals, accompanying students to general education classes, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining documentation of student behaviors and medications. Requires a High School diploma or GED with additional credentialing options (48 college credits, Associate’s degree, or demonstrated ability in reading/writing/math). Must be willing to be trained in CPI, First Aid, CPR, and medication administration or able to obtain training. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and bilingual English/Spanish ability preferred. The role is full-time, non-exempt, 7 hours per day over 173 work days, with a salary range of $19.27–$21.61 per hour, and benefits eligible for those working 20+ hours per week.
