Job Summary
Provide instructional and behavioral support to classroom teachers and students in a K-8 setting; supervise students during recess, lunch, and sensory breaks; record student progress on data sheets, goal sheets, and daily logs; assist with educational classroom needs and student behavior plans; work collaboratively with a school-based team; role requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic instructional environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certification
- Experience: 1 year with children with autism or other special needs (1 year, required); 2 years preferred
- Special education experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong organizational skills and positive attitude
- Ability to move around considerably
