Job Summary
Supervise and monitor students during before, during, and after school activities while reinforcing learning materials in individual, small group, and whole group settings. Assist teachers in devising special strategies based on student needs and operate classroom equipment to help students master instructional materials. Provide daily updates to counselor administration and serve as a resource for substitute teachers during staff absences. Aid students with self-care tasks including toileting and intermittent catheterization as required with proper training. Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude while supporting the vision of Oxford Community Schools. Begin August 2026 at an hourly rate of $17.20.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds, unaided
- Meet requirements set forth in applicable state and federal laws
- Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday mornings; Oxford High School (745 N. Oxford Rd.)
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday afternoons; Oxford Virtual Academy (775 W. Drahner Rd.)
- Wednesdays all day; Oxford Virtual Academy
- To begin: August 2026
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent preferred
- Ability to effectively relate with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to assist with the instruction of students
- Ability to manage students in individual, small group, and whole group situations
- Must exhibit a pleasant personality and positive attitude toward working with students, administration, staff, and community members
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible when working with students, teachers, and administrators
- Demonstrate an understanding of the student's disability and display a positive attitude toward his/her capabilities and to the student as an individual
