Job Summary
Special Education Paraprofessional Level II supports instructional programs for students with disabilities, assists in supervision, care, and instruction in general or specialized settings, implements plans and interventions (including ABA or CPI strategies) to address academic, social-emotional, and life-skill goals, gathers data on student needs, assists with toileting/feeding/lifting, monitors behavior to maintain a safe learning environment, and helps establish positive relationships with students, families, and staff. The role operates in a full-time, 9-month school schedule (7 hours/day) at Lincoln Elementary and requires Illinois paraprofessional licensure or equivalent credentials and 60+ college credits or WorkKeys. The responsibilities emphasize teamwork, data collection, behavior support, and maintaining least restrictive environments for students.
Required Qualifications
- One of the following State of Illinois Licenses registered in Will County: Paraprofessional (ELS(PARA)), Substitute (SUB), or Professional Educator License (PEL)
- College transcripts with 60+ credit hours or have passed the WorkKeys Assessment
