Job Summary
Support special education team by leading small groups, providing one-to-one follow-up, re-teaching and reviewing coursework, and implementing IEP adaptations and accommodations. Facilitate student participation, feedback to teachers, and promote a positive learning environment. Develop student communication, social, and functional skills; implement individual behavior plans with positive reinforcement and de-escalation; assist with transitions, safety procedures, and mobility supports (including diapering/dressing and adaptive equipment). Collect student data as directed, accompany students on school-related outings, and assist with activities of daily living while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. AA degree or Para Pro/Para Educator assessment required.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree (minimum of 60 college credits) or successful Para Pro test or Para Educator Assessment
