Special Education Paraprofessional II- MMS

Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with disabilities, helping them understand and complete assignments while implementing accommodations from Individualized Education Plans. Support classroom teachers by preparing instructional materials, modifying lessons, and adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs. Assist with daily tasks including transitions, personal care, mobility, and toileting needs, maintaining proper hygiene and student dignity. Monitor student behavior using established intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies to ensure a safe, productive environment. Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, field trips, and bus rides. Communicate regularly with staff regarding student progress and report any concerns about well-being or academic advancement.
