Job Summary
Conduct whole group, small group, or individual classroom activities while assisting with daily routines, student supervision, and school-wide oversight. Support supervising teachers by helping with assessment, grading, data collection, record keeping, and material preparation. Manage classroom housekeeping, inventory equipment, and facilitate student participation in professional learning. Maintain confidentiality regarding financial and personal information while adhering to attendance standards and safety protocols. Travel to various school sites and home locations, occasionally working in outside weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as required by the Professional Standards Commission
- Ability to read and comprehend job specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and position specific manuals
- Ability to write correspondence and reports
- Ability to effectively articulate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to conduct position related data analysis
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to facilitate the problem solving processes
- Ability to synthesize workable options from given facts, and assist in the development of workable solutions
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job specified technologies
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff members, students using tactful yet effective skills
- Ability to collaborate well with others and display a cooperative attitude
