Job Summary
Reinforce material introduced by teachers with small groups of students and assist with reading, spelling, handwriting, and math. Prepare for classroom activities under supervision and provide individualized attention to children needing special support. Catalog and file instructional materials, maintain inventory supplies, and perform clerical duties while participating in in-service training. Complete other assignments as required by the supervisor. This 9-month, non-exempt role involves working within the Cherokee County School District, where transcripts or state-approved exam results are required for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- 60 College Credit Hours
- Two years (60 semester hours) of college coursework from an accredited institution
- Passed a state-approved examination of content knowledge and pedagogy
