Job Summary
Special Education Paraprofessional - Center Based at Prior Lake High School. Provides support to special education staff, monitors and supports students in educational settings, assists with materials and data keeping, supports teacher programs, and aids with personal care needs as required. Requires either an Associates Degree or higher, 60 college credits, or Highly Qualified status via ParaEducator/ParaPro exam, plus ability to lift 50 lbs and work with students with mild to severe disabilities. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 7.5 hours per day (7 hours paid, 0.5 hour unpaid lunch), $21.05-$24.35 per hour, benefits include health, dental, life insurance, EAP, and flexible spending accounts. Reports to Building Principal and Assistant Director of Special Education. Performs duties as assigned by the principal or supervising teacher to support educational objectives under the MSEA agreement.
Required Qualifications
