Special Education Paraprofessional at Walton Charter Academy

Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance for students in accordance with their individual education plan (IEP) and/or 504-behavior plan as directed by the special education team. Implement result-driven curriculum and instruction specially designed to meet the unique needs of each student resulting from disability, including resource room, inclusion, and pullout services. Commit to educating the whole student academically, morally, and socially while ensuring a safe learning environment. Attend professional development, specialized trainings, and IEP meetings with the special education team and parents as required. Assist with the required compliance documentation and defuse situations to prevent escalation.
