Job Summary
Facilitate the learning needs of special education students by implementing their inclusion in classroom activities. Work closely with the classroom and special education teachers to meet student expectations and IEP requirements. Adapt activities to support students' unique needs, track their progress, and foster communication with parents and special education staff. Participate in professional development to enhance skills in supporting students effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Paraprofessional licensure and endorsement required
- Completion of an Associate’s degree from a college or university accredited by the North Central Association or another regional accrediting body
- Successful completion of at least sixty (60) semester hours of college credit at a college or university accredited by the North Central Association or another regional accrediting body
- Successful completion of a state approved paraprofessional assessment
- At least one year of work experience involving the care and supervision of children with disabilities
