Job Summary
Under the direction of the Team Leader, Director of Education, or Assistant Director of Education, provide behavioral structure and academic guidance by supervising and monitoring students with crisis intervention and counseling. Reinforce skills and educational goals as directed by the supervising teacher, presenting material accurately in accordance with the student's emotional learning style. Follow the student's individual behavior program developed by the educational team and communicate relevant educational and emotional/behavioral information to the coordinating teacher. Complete weekly status reports and provide daily information to the cooperating teacher in a timely manner. Assist the educational program of all students as designed by the coordinating teacher or administrator. This 10-month position includes an option for a 5-week extended school year program during the summer.
Required Qualifications
- High-School Diploma
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to participate in physical restraints once trained
