SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAEDUCATOR - SUPPORT CENTER

Special Education Paraed​ucator - Support Center at Puyallup High School provides academic instruction to students with a variety of disabilities and delivers modified curriculum instruction that may include functional academics, daily living skills, prevocational/vocational skills, behavior skills, and social skills. The role supports instruction for a student or students for 6.95 hours per day (7:55 AM–3:22 PM), on a 190-day calendar, with potential flexibility to ride the bus. Candidates must meet paraeducator employment requirements, including age, education, and one of several qualification paths (e.g., associate degree or higher, specific college credits, ParaPro or related assessments, or approved training programs). The position requires completing and maintaining state-m mandated paraeducator standards, including district-provided training and certification, and providing documentation such as official transcripts or assessment scores.
