Job Summary
Under direction of professional staff, work with students individually or in group settings while assisting with supervision in classrooms, cafeterias, and halls. Implement behavior management strategies and ensure student safety, which may include riding the bus, working one-on-one to complete assigned tasks, and assisting with health needs, mealtime, and personal hygiene. Help get students to and from bus or car and prepare materials used in the educational process. Other duties as assigned may vary based on building and district needs. The position requires two years of post-secondary education or a Paraeducator certificate and begins in the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Two year post secondary education
- Paraeducator certificate
- Qualifying score on NCRC assessment test
- Willingness to assume responsibility

- Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them
