Job Summary
Special Education One-on-One Paraprofessional providing individualized support to students with disabilities. Assist with academic achievement, behavioral support, and collaboration with SPED and General Education teachers. Supervise students throughout the day, maintain confidentiality, and perform duties as assigned by supervisors. Requires a high school diploma and either an associate’s degree (or higher) or at least 60 college credits, plus Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment; strong organizational skills, basic technology/keyboarding abilities, and a willingness to learn.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- An associate’s degree (or higher); or at least 60 hours of college credit
- Provide evidence of Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Possess basic knowledge of technology and keyboarding to support student learning
- Demonstrate patience, initiative, and willingness to learn
- Assist students in achieving academic success
- Help students by providing behavioral support
- Consult and collaborate with SPED and General Education teachers
- Support supervision of and monitor students throughout the school day
- Maintain confidentiality
- Present and communicate in a professional manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or administration
