Job Summary
Remote full-time Special Education Lead Teacher responsible for delivering online course content, mentoring teachers, and supporting VA efforts to improve student performance. Manages/supervises teachers, conducts data-driven conferences, aligns K12 curriculum with state standards, augments course content for asynchronous/synchronous delivery, and serves on the school leadership team to support policy implementation and program design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Three (3) years of successful teaching experience including experience as a virtual teacher
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass required background check
- Knowledgeable of state and charter school law and regulations
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn student management systems
- Travel ability up to 20% of time for training/meetings
