Job Summary
Special Education Instructional Coach responsible for developing teachers to improve practices and student achievement. Drives data-driven planning and effectiveness through standards-based professional development and coaching; uses adult learning principles and facilitates learning-focused conversations. Serves as a content expert aligned with National, State, and District standards; supports integration of 21st century skills and guarantees viable curriculum implementation; aligns actions to district goals and the 5-Step Process. Requires a Master’s degree in Education or related field (or active progression toward degree) and Kansas teaching license, with 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred. 186 instructional days with extended contract; exempt salary schedule; reports to the District Coach of Implementation and Assistant Superintendent. Strong verbal/written communication and ability to collaborate with staff, students, parents, and community.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Education or related field (or plan of study on file and active progression to complete degree program)
- Kansas Teaching License in appropriate content area and level
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more content areas
- Demonstrated effective coaching practices
- 3-5 years effective teaching experience preferred
