Job Summary
Coordinate instructional programs for special education students while supporting teachers with IEP implementation, behavioral intervention plans, and lesson preparation. Provide in-class support that promotes student independence, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and the use of assistive technology. Maintain confidentiality of student records and compile required reports. Work Monday through Friday, occasionally during evenings or weekends, with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification
- Six documented semester hours of coursework in early childhood education
- Two years of work experience in an early childhood setting
Desired Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with or assisting individuals with special needs
