Job Summary
Special Education Instructional Assistant provides support to students with disabilities under the direction of certified teachers and/or administrators, assisting with implementing IEPs, preparing materials and assistive devices, monitoring progress, and supporting student independence. The role may involve extensive physical and/or personal care, carrying out health plans or emergency actions, and basic clerical tasks; ability to lift may be required. 10-month, 7 hours per day position at Middletown Primary School within FCPS with starting salary of $21.23/hour (annualized to $44,158) and non-exempt overtime status.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 48 college credits, AA degree, or passing one of the following exams (ParaPathways, Pearson NES: Foundations of Classroom Support, or Pearson NES: Foundations of Classroom Support & Instruction)
