Special Education Instructional Assistant - Long Term Substitute

Assist students throughout the day with behavior and academics, refocusing them in the classroom and de-escalating negative behavior while recognizing positive actions. Work cooperatively with classroom teachers and Special Education staff to increase student independence, managing behavior and assisting in both general and special education settings. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills while following direction from supervising teachers. Complete a 7-hour daily shift as a long-term substitute from August 31, 2026, through October 22, 2026, under contract terms.
