Job Summary
Special Education Instructional Assistant to support licensed personnel in a Lovington elementary environment. Responsibilities include assisting with individual and small-group instruction, reinforcing material, supervising independent study, operating multimedia equipment, assisting with reading/storytelling, library tasks, and helping with classroom routines, discipline, safety, and confidentiality. Requires ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and adapt to a dynamic school setting; must have or qualify for a NM Level III Educational Assistant license and a high school diploma or GED. Experimental duties may include assisting with personal hygiene activities, setting up audiovisual equipment, and supporting individualized program materials under supervision of certified teachers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Possess or qualify for a New Mexico Level III Educational Assistant license
- Demonstrate aptitude for the work to be performed
