Job Summary
Assist students throughout the day with behavior and academics, refocusing them in the classroom and de-escalating negative behavior while recognizing positive actions. Work cooperatively with classroom teachers and Special Education staff to increase student independence, managing behavior and supporting learning in both general and special education settings. Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher. Requires a high school diploma, passed ParaPro/Para Educator testing, and a successful background check. Work 7 hours per day as part of a benefit-eligible position offering health, dental, optical, and retirement benefits.
