Special Education Functional Academics Teacher (2026-2027)

Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Tenie Holmes Elementary. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons for students with special needs; work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned. Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through the ARD process, implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs, plan appropriate instructional strategies and materials, support regular classes as needed, participate in ARD meetings, assess student learning styles, use technology in teaching, supervise teacher aides/volunteers, and maintain compliance with district policies. Maintain classroom management and documentation, communicate effectively with families and colleagues, and participate in staff development and district regulatory requirements.
