Job Summary
Implement individual educational goals and objectives while serving as a member of the educational management team. Collect data on students' progress in education, behavior, and social skills. Meet with assigned classes and execute non-aversive behavioral programs and social skills training. Adhere to a nine and one-fourth month contract schedule (190 days) with a benefits package. Maintain strong writing and organizational skills to manage Individual Education Plans and coordinate with the principal or supervisor for additional assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Current Arkansas certification in Special Education
- Evidence of successful experience in working with students at risk
- Evidence of ability to work well with others
- Experience in implementing non-aversive behavioral programs and social skills training
- Evidence of strong writing and organizational skills
- Evidence of ability to implement Individual Education Plans
- Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education
- Ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period
- Ability to be physically present and at assigned work
- Ability to have only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year
- Ability to sit
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to operate foot and hand controls
- Ability to use a telephone
