Job Summary
Deliver high-quality 1:1 and small group instruction tailored to students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, focusing on foundational skill development in Reading and Math. Adapt classroom assignments to meet specific learning needs and implement proactive behavior interventions to maintain a safe learning environment. Collaborate with General Education teachers and paraprofessionals within a resource model, while communicating regularly with families and providers. Lead or participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior data to ensure compliance with IDEA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience delivering high-quality 1:1 and small group instruction tailored to Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Knowledge of foundational skill development in Reading and Math
- Ability to utilize evidence-based strategies to support student access to grade-level content
- Skill in adapting and modifying classroom assignments to meet specific learning needs and accommodations
- Experience implementing proactive and positive behavior interventions
- Ability to maintain a productive and safe learning environment
- Skill in collaborating on the development and monitoring of student behavior plans
- Knowledge of social-emotional growth support strategies
- Experience applying appropriate behavior management techniques
- Ability to foster student self-regulation and engagement
- Experience partnering with General Education teachers
- Skill in ensuring effective implementation of classroom accommodations and modifications
- Experience working within a resource model
- Ability to coordinate with paraprofessionals and support staff
- Experience providing seamless services within both resource centers and general education classrooms
- Skill in communicating regularly with families, related service providers, and administrators
- Ability to share insights regarding student development
- Experience maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student performance
- Skill in tracking progress toward IEP objectives
- Experience collecting and maintaining behavior data
- Knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) compliance
- Experience leading or participating in IEP meetings
- Ability to provide comprehensive student summaries
