Job Summary
DIRECTOR of Special Education to lead age 3-21 programs in accordance with district, state, and federal objectives and laws; plan, design, and implement all phases of services provided by Special Education staff; serve as a resource to patrons, school personnel, and the Board; maintain staffing and budgets to achieve program objectives; provide leadership, collaboration with families and community, and oversight of district-level staff; develop proposals, new programs, budgets and grants; manage Medicaid Administrative Claiming where applicable; ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and district policies; supervise staff and communicate program information to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Special Education, Education Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five years experience working directly with students.
- Education administration experience.
- Iowa Administrative and Evaluator Certification
