Job Summary
Plan instruction and adaptation of the education program to enable students to benefit from educational experiences; build trust and confidence with students; plan curriculum, lessons, and special ed programs and teaching methods; maintain classroom environment; instruct individuals and groups on Special Ed skill areas; monitor student progress in and outside resource room; modify curriculum; maintain contact with parents; evaluate student progress based on work output and observation; prepare report cards, educational records, IEP forms, classroom observation records; participate in weekly Special Ed Committee meetings; administer testing evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education with experience in Special Education preferred.
- Valid Teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsements.
