Special Education Co-Teacher - IDEA Yukon College Prep (Immediate Opening)

Assist in the educational and social development of students with significant cognitive and/or pervasive developmental disabilities under the direction of facilitators and classroom teachers. Implement Individual Education Plans, monitor student progress, and provide support inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities. Work with professionals such as speech therapists and social workers, assist with maintaining student records, and support students with emotional or behavioral concerns. Daily living assistance may include feeding, lifting, and toileting in the Life Skills Unit; school bus riding to accompany students may be required before or after school. This role supports the Special Education-RISE classroom in K-5 or College Prep settings with low student-teacher ratios, focusing on functional curricula for daily living and vocational skills.
