Job Summary
The Classroom Aide assists the Classroom Teacher in implementing instructional and behavior modification programs for Developmentally Disabled students aged 5 to 22. Responsibilities include supervising students, implementing individualized behavior plans, recording daily data, and assisting with personal hygiene and self-help skills. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, proficiency in English, and passing required background checks. The job is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift students and assist in various tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, TB and drug test and COVID vaccine requirements
- Ability to move quickly, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted
- Must be okay with toileting and basic hygiene tasks
Additional Requirements
- Driver's License with 2 years clean record preferred
