Job Summary
Lead and plan classroom instruction aligned with student IEPs and individualized learning plans while maintaining clear behavioral expectations and integrating technology into assessment. Provide meaningful feedback to families, track progress via the school portal, and submit unit plans and portfolios on schedule. Collaborate with educators, clinicians, and residential counselors to create a trauma-informed environment, supervise assistant teachers, and participate in weekly team meetings. Ensure consistency between classroom and dorm life by supporting student transitions, daily routines, and meal-time structures. This role offers a unique licensure pathway for unlicensed candidates to work immediately while earning their Special Education license through mentorship and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- NH licensure in Special Education
- eligibility to obtain a Statement of Eligibility (SOE)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Satisfactory completion of CPI Training
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred driving record that allows for the transportation of students in Wediko vehicles
