Job Summary
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with autism spectrum disorders, focusing on communication, sensory, social skills, and behavior. Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop lesson plans and coordinate services as the case manager, preparing essential documents like evaluations, IEPs, and progress reports. Collect data for ongoing progress monitoring and Extended School Year eligibility. Collaborate with parents, regular education teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate IEP meetings and prepare Positive Behavior Support Plans. Develop staff on disability characteristics and interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
- Valid Pennsylvania Certification: Special Education K-8, Special Education K-12, or a confirmed pathway to certification
- Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
- FBI fingerprinting Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- School Personnel Health Record and TB test
