Job Summary
Conduct individual and small group instruction to reinforce learning, guide independent and remedial work, and support skill generalization in an integrated setting. Assist the teacher in devising strategies based on student needs, distribute materials, and implement behavior support plans. Operate classroom equipment, supervise students during drills and field trips, and manage lunch, snack, and hygiene routines. Serve as the primary support for substitute teachers and maintain accurate data collection while adhering to strict confidentiality. Commit to ongoing professional growth to address unique student needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, preferred
- Experience as an associate, preferred
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Demonstrate collaborative skills in a team environment
- Support PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) for all students in all settings
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers
- Commit to ongoing professional growth to support the unique needs of individual students
