Job Summary
Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and guide independent, enrichment, and remedial work assigned by the teacher. Assist in devising strategies based on student needs, support generalization in integrated settings, and implement behavior support plans. Distribute materials, read to students, and supervise routines including lunch, snacks, and emergency drills. Operate classroom equipment and collect data while serving as the chief resource for substitute teachers. Commit to ongoing professional growth and maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality. Support PBIS across all settings and collaborate within the team environment to maximize instructional time.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, preferred
- Experience as an associate, preferred
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Demonstrate collaborative skills in a team environment
- Support PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) for all students in all settings
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers
- Commit to ongoing professional growth to support the unique needs of individual students
