Job Summary
Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students with special needs, including classroom supervision during bus arrival/dismissal, lunch, recess, and field trips. Assist staff in preparing materials, correcting work, and setting up bulletin boards while working with students on daily routines, homework, and technology use. Support classroom management, maintain individual student records, and help integrate special education students into regular classrooms. Report relevant matters to administrators and assist office staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to relate to all children regardless of needs and/or abilities
- Possess collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of a physical capacity profile test
