Special Education Assistant - PPCD/ECSE (Achziger)

Assist the special education teacher in providing for the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a special education setting. Implement classroom programs including self-help, behavior management, and instruction; collaborate with the teacher under supervision; prepare instructional materials and classroom displays; maintain administrative records and required reports; assist with transferring students to and from wheelchairs and attend to personal care needs (feeding, bathroom, hygiene); help manage behavior and support individual or small group motor and instructional activities; supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground; provide orientation to substitutes; maintain confidentiality; participate in staff development and school events as needed.
