Job Summary
Assist special education teachers in instructing and supervising students with disabilities to maintain a well-organized classroom environment. Prepare instructional materials, set up classrooms for activities, and reinforce lessons while supervising children in the school and other areas. Provide support to special needs students or coordinate special projects and programs as assigned under direct supervision. This role requires an Associate's degree or two years of college, CPR and First Aid certification, and one year of experience working with children.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree
- two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
- passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
- one (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting
- certification in CPR and First Aid
