Job Summary
Special Education Program Assistant for ASD (32.5 hours/week) provides support to the instructional program with responsibility for assisting in supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs; implements instructional plans; monitors student behavior; communicates with appropriate school personnel. Reports to Building Principal. Start date August 24, 2026. Located in Cedar Springs, Michigan within Cedar Springs Public Schools. Qualifications include a High School Graduate, CPR and CPI training or willingness to obtain, and demonstrated behavior-management skills; must be dependable, patient, and able to supervise students and maintain confidentiality. The role involves outdoor work across all seasons and collaboration with students, staff, parents, and public. Internal/External distribution with application materials submission.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Current CPR Certification or willing to obtain CPR certificate
- Current CPI training or willing to obtain CPI training
- Evidence of skills with behavior management
